Google Fonts is a huge collection of open source and free fonts for nearly every ocasion. Those fonts are optimized for web but it is possible to download them and use offline in text editors like Microsoft Word.
In order to use those fonts locally you need to download them and install into Windows.
Here is how to do it:
Go to Google Fonts. For every chosen font click Add to Collection button.
When you are ready to download selected fonts, click black arrow pointing down in the right upper part of the screen.
In the Download fonts window click .zip files link which points to the ZIP file with all the fonts you have previously added to collection.
When download completes, open ZIP file and double click on each .ttf file.
On font preview window click Install button. Do this for each ttf file.
When done you can use the font in Word just like any other. No computer reset is needed.
