Server Manager is a very useful tool which is a single point of management for local and remote servers. It is great – but after some time you might get a bit annoyed with it starting up every time you log on to the server, especially on slow Remote Desktop connections…
There is a simple way to disable it from starting up automatically. This applies to Windows 2008 and Windows 2012
-
In upper-right corner click Manage then click Server Manager Properties
-
Check Do not start Server Manager automatically at logon, accept by clicking OK
Thanks. It is annoying especially on slow Remote Desktop connections.
